Leicester’s Favourite Book

People across Leicester are thinking about their favourite books as part of the city’s celebrations for National Year of Reading 2008. Leicester Libraries launched its search for Leicester’s favourite book earlier this year by inviting everyone in the city to suggest their top reads. Over five hundred books were nominated from mega bestsellers to personal favourites, demonstrating our cities diverse tastes in reading matter.

From April onwards the search continues as the shortlist of twelve
titles are put up for public vote. Copies of the shortlist will be available to borrow from every Leicester library. Some of the most famous books ever written are on the list, alongside Leicester favourites.

You can vote for your favourite book at your local library or online here
