Amnesty International and iceandfire announce the Protect the Human Playwriting competition 2008. We want to find the best new plays that make real and relevant the impact of human rights issues on our everyday lives.
Finalists will receive readings of their play at the Soho Theatre in December 2008 with the winning playwright awarded a prize of £3000 + readings in London, Leeds, Birmingham and Plymouth on the 10th December 2008, the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
